THE CHAPEL BY THE SEA has met continuously for more than 35 years, providing a place for Christian worship for thousands of people who visit South Padre Island annually. Since dress is informal, persons can just "come as they are." The service is multidimensional. Each Sunday finds people from all over the Rio Grande Valley and Texas, as well as many other states in attendance.

A corporation was established to give stability to the Chapel. A Board of Directors has been elected to provide direction for its mission. We are not affiliated with any religious denomination or group.

Our only goal is to provide a holy place in which God can be worshiped. In addition to Sunday services, the Chapel is available to the public for weddings, funerals, and other religious services.

The Chapel has no members and seeks no members. Most of the people who attend are members of a Christ- based church in their own city.

Services held each Sunday are as following:
April through November: 8:30 am
December and March: 8:30am, 10:30am
January and February: 8:30am, 9:30am, 11:00am
